Q: What was your experience like dealing with Rorke Data before the sale?
A: Excellent interviews and lots of dialog to make sure we were outfitted with the right system for our current needs and also the right system to carry us into the future.
 
Q: Did you get the performance and benefits that were promised with Rorke Data’s initial proposal?
A: They were actually more conservative about the performance we would see and I really appreciate that. I can regularly push a little more out of the system which further builds my confidence in Rorke’s products.
 
Q: What surprised you about using Rorke Data as an alternate storage source for your environment?
A: I had dealt with other SAN solutions in an Avid environment. Those solutions required maintenance on a regular basis with databases corrupting and volumes disappearing.
 
Q: What was it like dealing with Rorke Data after the sale?
A: Though I haven’t needed support, I have called Rorke a couple times to rave about the ease of use and transparency their SAN provides!
 
Q: Do you feel like Rorke Data has a good understanding of what you do, your expectations and needs?
A: Yes, again thanks to their thorough interview process and qualification, I felt completely at ease with our hardware choice.
 
Q: Would you recommend Rorke to other industry professionals?
A: I recommend Rorke on a regular basis to other facilities that need the kind of reliability and expansion that SAN arrays provide!
 
Q: Any other comments you want to share?
A: Anyone that asks me about Rorke, I tell them this story. The equipment arrived on a Monday afternoon. My local reseller and I met the following morning and installed the drives into the chassis and plugged in our fibre cables. We took our application CD to the first host system, installed the simple SAN application and created the volumes. Installed it again on the second host system and, simply put, we haven’t looked back since. From major power failures to a crashed local machine, nothing can bring our Rorke SAN down.
