Portsmouth Software Acquires Rights to EasyFile®, a Leading Document Management Application for Windows and NT Platforms
a leading, provider of e-business solutions, today announced that it has acquired the rights to the EasyFile® document management application (DMA) software from FLEXSTOR in Minneapolis. Until recently, FLEXSTOR had been part of Rorke Data, Inc., a subsidiary of San Jose-based Bell Microproducts, Inc. (NASDAQ: BELM). The EasyFile product has had extensive development and was marketed to a multitude of customers in the United States and Internationally over the past five years.
Portsmouth Software offers users the industry's most comprehensive set of document management systems and solutions including: applications that helps to improve a retailer's customer service efforts, enhance inventory-tracking capabilities and streamline the management of its customer information database.
With this new product acquisition, Portsmouth Software expects to begin offering a new upgraded version (Version 5.0) of EasyFile in September , 2001. The new add-on modules to be offered as part of the EasyFile product suite will give users the ability to auto-index and file documents automatically on input, view all stored digital documents directly from a standard web browser and also write and store digital documents.
