Definitions
Daisy Chain A SCSI cable configuration in which devices (hard drives, CDs, tape drives, etc.) are connected one to another in a series. 
  • Ultra Wide and Ultra2 boards can daisy chain up to 15 SCSI devices.
  • SCSI-1, SCSI-2 and Ultra boards can daisy chain up to 7 SCSI devices. 
Differential When differential is added, cable distance can increase up to 25 meters. (SCSI-2+)
Low Voltage Differential (LVD) LVD reduces the amount of power needed to drive the SCSI bus, and increases the cable length from 3 meters to 12 meters.
