The Sun Fire V250 server--powered by up to two 1.06-GHz or 1.28-GHz UltraSPARC IIIi processors--offers a reliable and secure two-processor server platform. Available at PC-server prices, the Sun Fire V250 server delivers enterprise-level reliability, availability, and security for organizations in small-office environments who require low acquisition costs, key application support, and low complexity.
The Sun Fire V250 server is a feature-rich server that offers up to 8 GB of DDR memory, up to eight hot-swappable, 73-GB UltraSCSI hard drives, six 64-bit PCI slots, four USB ports, Advanced Lights Out Manager (ALOM) software, and a System Configuration Card.
The robust Solaris Operating System and software suite (Office Essentials) are pre-loaded and pre-tested on the Sun Fire V250 server--at no additional cost. In addition an evaluation copy of the Sun Java Enterprise System is also pre-loaded.
