Mixed-drive support
The StreamLine SL8500 modular library system supports StorageTek T9840 and T9940 tape drives as well as mid-range LTO Ultrium, and SDLT.
Compatibility
The StreamLine SL8500 modular library system attaches to mainframe, supercomputer, UNIX, Linux and Windows environments and can be shared across different backup applications.
Expandability
The library system can be upgraded with future drive types and more cartridge slots to increase capacity during operation, with no system downtime.
High availability
The sophisticated new StreamLine architecture offers hot-swappable and fully redundant components, including multiple robots, to keep your library up and running. For even higher availability, you can add additional redundant components.
Remote management
The library system can be managed and monitored via a remote, network-based operator panel or an optional local touch-screen operator panel.
