L700/e Tape Library
 The StorageTek L700e tape library is an evolutionary step above and beyond the already successful StorageTek L700 tape library. Designed for the large, distributed open systems implementations in UNIX and Windows NT environments, the L700e allows for connecting two L700e's together to provide an increase in storage capacity as your business grows. The two L700e's are connected together with a unique Pass Through Port (PTP), expanding beyond the current 678 cartridge slot capacity to 1344 cartridge slots - nearly doubling your overall capacity.

Adaptive media technology supports up to 12 StorageTek high-performance T9840 and/or high-capacity T9940 tape drives or up to 20 DLT, SDLT or LTO Ultrium tape drives. Or mix any of these drives in different combinations. Performance - up to 1.08 TB/hr. Storage - up to 74.5 TB.
Efficient Library Management. Powerful software solutions such as ACSLS or Library Manager provide for library control and management.
