Therefore, Galaxy® HDX2 users can count on sustained performance fast enough for multiple uncompressed 10 bit 1080 HD video streams, unheard of space saving disk storage density of up to 16TB/3RU system, that is tested and optimized for rich media application environments.
The Galaxy® HDX2’s award winning design and 5th generation of improvements continues to bring users what they need in highly scalable, high speed RAID solutions while maintaining the lower price per GB. New features such as the expandable SAS rackmount storage system, allows increased capacities and bandwidth. This lowers your TCO since you can dynamically addon storage when you want with what capacity you want. Typical video applications and a wide range of hardware editing systems are all supported by the HDX2. Because of its powerful bandwidth, the HDX2 can be either used in a single HD workstation or used to support many workstations in a SAN. The simple to use "browser-based" user interface provides complete storage management, monitors errors, and can perform remote diagnostics. Commandsoft's powerful new Fibrejet 3.0 SAN software, delivering
shared, scalable and high performance storage for an unlimited

Galaxy®NET is based on proven Galaxy RAID technology and the
powerful new features of Fibrejet 3.0, to provide a reliable, efficient,
and easy to implement SAN, without the usual per seat SAN client
charges.
Galaxy®NET is optimized to work with most NLEs like Final Cut, ProTools and Avid, empowering digital post professionals to collaborate like never before.
SANXtream enables systems to share a high speed pool of images, media,
content, analytical data, and other key digital assets so files can be
processed and distributed quicker. Even in heterogeneous environments
such as Windows, OSX, Linux, Solaris, AIX and IRIX, all files are easily
accessible to all hosts – SAN or LAN.
When performance is key, SANXtream recommends Fibre Connectivity to achieve throughput that extends
over 10 GBps. For cost efficiency and fan-out, SANXtream offers LAN based
access using clustered gateway systems with resiliency and throughput
that outperforms traditional network sharing methods. This shared
platform fabric allows all editors, effects artists, designers, animators,
and colorists to access the same file and freely collaborate across the board.
All of this occurs instantaneously and simultaneously.
